The Society
The Society of Co-Passengers of Christ (CPC) is an indigenous missionary society of apostolic life, drawing its members from every state and territory across the vast landscape of India. It is rooted in the belief that the mission of Christ is a shared journey.
"To evangelize is to walk with the people of India..."
Unlike traditional missionary structures, the CPC emphasizes the "Co-Passenger" philosophy. We honor the ancient roots planted by St. Thomas the Apostle and the coastal fire ignited by St. Francis Xavier, while expanding that spirit to the plains, mountains, and cities of the north, east, and west.
Core Pillars of the CPC
National Inclusivity
A truly pan-Indian brotherhood, bringing together diverse cultures, languages, and traditions from across all Indian states to serve as a unified witness of Christ.
The Full Altar Mandate
A primary commitment to ensuring that no altar stands empty. We specialize in serving remote, neglected, or sparsely populated parishes to ensure the Holy Eucharist is celebrated.
Radical Evangelization
Moving beyond established centers to reach the "peripheries," focusing on both spiritual nourishment and the physical presence of the Church in unreached areas.
Companionship in Christ
Members live in communal "caravans" of faith, working together not just as colleagues, but as true co-passengers who share the burdens and joys of the missionary road.
